

An MRI performed two months after onset of symptoms was positive for a broad-based central L4-5 disc herniation indenting the ventral thecal sac. Patient’s medical history includes a cesarean section and anemia. The onset of these symptoms came after a motor vehicle accident.

Patient number one is a 33-year-old female who has low back pain radiating to the left posterior lower leg down to the calf with tingling in the left calf.
